Barnes & Noble PubIt! is for Americans ONLY!

At least until further notice. I've emailed B&N asking them what would non-US residing ebook authors do to join their Pubit! service, and they gave their answer below. Seems more waiting ahead.

As stated on our website, authors and publishers must possess all of the following in order to participate in PubIt!:

Anyone with a valid U.S. Bank Account, U.S. Credit Card, and U.S. Tax ID can sign up to use PubIt! Your Tax ID can be a Social Security Number (SSN)/ITIN or an Employer Identification Number (EIN).
