IMDb's 20-year anniversary A-List Writers

IMDb.com, the authoritative source of information on movies and TV, (part of the Amazon.com) has launched IMDb20, the company’s 20-year anniversary campaign. IMDb’s expert editorial team has picked 3 writers to watch in the years to come. Those 3 are:

1. Christopher Nolan
Chosen for The Dark Knight (The movie where Batman, Gordon and Harvey Dent are forced to deal with the chaos unleashed by an anarchist mastermind known only as the Joker, as it drives each of them to their limits. )

Nolan is a British-American film director, writer and producer. He is best known for writing and directing such critically acclaimed films as Memento, the remake Insomnia, Inception, and rebooting the Batman film franchise. He often collaborates with his brother (screenwriter Jonathan Nolan), his wife (producer Emma Thomas), cinematographer Wally Pfister, and recently with actors Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Cillian Murphy. Nolan is the founder of the production company Syncopy Films and is a dual citizen of the United Kingdom and the United States.

2. J.J. Abrams
Chosen for Lost (The famous TV series, where the survivors of a plane crash are forced to live with each other on a remote island, a dangerous new world that poses unique threats of its own.)

Abrams is an American film and television producer, screenwriter, director, actor, and composer. He wrote and produced feature films before co-creating the television series Felicity (1998–2002).

He also created Alias (2001–2006) and co-created Lost (2004–2010), Fringe (2008–present), and Undercovers (2010). Abrams directed the films Mission: Impossible III (2006) and Star Trek (2009), and produced the film Cloverfield (2008).
